Bonzo (Madama Butterfly)

 
Moscow-born bass Mikhail Kolelishvili has been one of the young soloists at the Mariinsky Theatre since 2002. There he has been heard in such roles as Bartolo (The Marriage of Figaro), Leporello and the Commendatore (Don Giovanni), Don Basilio (The Barber of Seville) and Sparafucile (Rigoletto). He was a finalist in the Cardiff Singer of the World competition in 2005.
