Hiromi Omura

Cio-Cio-San (Madama Butterfly)

Hiromi Omura studied voice at home in Tokyo, in Italy and Marseilles. Her competition triumphs have included victory in the Mantoue and Marseilles competitions, second prize in the Gianfranco Masini Competition, the special prize in the Belvedere Competition in Vienna and the third in the Paris Singing Competition. She has, among others, sung at the Opéra Comique and Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris, New National Theatre in Tokyo, in Hong Kong and in various parts of Europe, and has previously sung the title role in Madama Butterfly at the Deutsche Oper Berlin and elsewhere. She is also down to sing it in Tel Aviv, Montreal, Malaga, Santander and Lausanne.
